L&P is summer vibes, distilled into liquid form. To celebrate it’s place in the New Zealand cultural landscape, we created a set of limited edition summer cans to celebrate it.

Summer is the time many people get out of the boardroom and into their board shorts, celebrating summer and letting their love handles hang out. This choice little campaign was all about having a presence in those tiny towns and summer hot spots throughout the country.

Everyone knows L&P & summer goes together like hot days & cool shade, fish & chips, or hot chicks & skinny dips. These fun illustrated summer cans were available all summer long, backed up by a choice campaign.

The limited edition cans were the hero, packaged in a limited edition box set of 8, 24 and 30 cans. As the cans rolled out into dairies and fish n chip shops around the country, we released a series of localised street posters, with customised messages, welcoming people to towns like Paeroa, Whangamata and many others, letting them know where they can get a cold L&P and where the best fish n chip shop was.

Gas station punters were especially lucky to score a free sipper cup to keep their L&P extra chilled for their summer roady. To launch the campaign, L&P gave away beach towels, hanging them on street posters for people to pinch. A fun way to get the brand into people’s hands (or around their sandy bums).

We enjoyed doing our part to keep one of New Zealand’s coolest brands, keeping Kiwis cool over summer with a mix of disruptive packaging, creatively placed media, engaging social content and in-store tom foolery!
