McDonald’s approached us looking for a creative idea to surprise and delight their customers over summer. We created a concept that delivered a powerful in-store, out of home, on the screen and in the boot of your car experience.

We’d worked before with the McDonald’s marketing team and they knew our passion for telling New Zealand stories. So they got us back in to create. Their initial brief was to create a really exciting summer gift with purchase and limited edition summer Share Box. We presented a creative concept for an above the line campaign, drawing customers in and delivering a powerful in-store experience.
We collaborated with Greg Straight, a New Zealand artist to capture the quintessential Kiwi summer experience, from which we created a series of limited edition summer tote bags and Share Box artwork. It brought a fresh new buzz to the McDonald’s brand that excited the whole business. The artwork was then used as animated content for TV, social, outdoor media and in-store branding in iconic summer spots throughout New Zealand.
The collaboration of agencies, artists and McDonald’s produced some stellar results. Sharebox sales expectations were exceeded and response from the public was unanimous - they want to see this again from McDonald’s.
Engagement levels on social media increased 70-100% were due to the fresh content, with over 3,000,000 views of the campaign online. I’m Nooicing your Nooice everybody!!
